Here is some of the the feedback received:
Day
6
We are blessed to attend
Swamiji's lectures for the 6 days. We have been chanting the GITA DHYANA
SLOKAM for sometime now. But after hearing the meaning of the SLOKAS, we
could recollect the meaning while chanting. It was so clear that we
would like to chant more. The webcast was very clear and we would like
to attend more of these webcasts in the near future.
Before more days pass, I
wanted to take the time to express my sincere gratitude for allowing my
wife and myself to hear the recent webcam presentation of Swamiji’s
talk. As you are all probably well aware yourselves, householder life
has a way of drawing the time and energy out of one’s body and mind
leaving one little time to think of the higher spiritual values and
goals of life. When I look at the map, it doesn’t appear to be all
that much of a distance for me to travel to Mithila, but this distance
is quickly swallowed up by the ever-present traffic that makes it
impossible to commit to any schedule. When we recently scheduled an
interview with Swamiji for attending his Vedanta classes, although we
thought that we figured in enough time for delays due to traffic, we
found ourselves arriving just in time and with the realization that we
couldn’t really commit to a regular schedule of meetings as Swamiji
necessarily asks all to do. We were most disappointed.
Then when we were informed that you would make some talks available to
us on-line, we were most jubilant. We feel the real need for such
association and the hearing of the vedic truths, especially as presented
by Swamiji. Like children excited by the promise of getting some prized
candy, we awaited the evening presentation. We were richly rewarded by
Swamiji’s talk. Yes, we fully realize that it is definitely not the
same as sitting in the same room with Swamiji and listening to him. But
the experience of seeing and hearing him remotely is not to be
underestimated either.
I wish to only encourage you to continue to provide this in the future.
Dear Chinmithila,
Hari Om. Thanks a lot for the
Live webcast. Unfortunately, I came to know about only yesterday and was
able to see only toaday's webcast (Saturday, 1/27). I found the quality of
the broadcasting-- both audio and video to be quite good.
Hari Om, Raj
Congratulations to all your
team members and Swamiji . we three have been watching the programme
everyday and seeing that you all have been working so hard
improvising everyday to make it near perfection. from Mumbai the
quality in terms of clarity and picture is excellent , it is as though
swamiji has not gone back for us , you made is possible for us to even see
him we could hear him all these days but this is great !Shows the Vedanta in
action at mithila , the showcase of Chinmaya mission !!!! thanks a lot .
Please keep us in fact informed of the other programmes too .which you can
live telecast . i hope you can upload them as video file not just audio , i
do not know the technology available , but do make their DVD's .
Thank you very much Swamiji
and Sevaks, for starting Chinmaya Channel. Video and Audio quality are
excellent even with wireless connection.
1. We are in Eastern time
zone and it will be late in night by the time satsang completes. It
would be nicer if starts a bit early, an hour to 30 mins.
2. Enabling question and
answer session for webcast viewers.
Overall the broadcast was
good. I noticed the camera position changed for day 5. In particular the
camera position for aarti when performed in front of Gurudev's picture
changed. I felt the old position was much clearer since we could get the
complete view, on day 5 we could see gurudev but swamiji hand was only
visible. I also noticed tha tthe camera position for main Vedanta lesson
changed so that swamiji could face the camera directly. The downside was
that the lighting was slightly impacted. I felt the telecast the initial
days with camera position at an angle was very good. When swamiji was
giving the discourses, having full focus on him helped quite a bit.
I must say that the overall
quality of both audio and video has improved since Tuesday. The video is
brighter, the audio did not fluctuate at all and there was no disconnect
at any time in the webcast. I look forward to future webcasts!
Dear
Friends, We can not thank enough for bringing in the Vedanta lectures by
Swami Ishwaranandji. It was our privilege to watch the web-cast and we
enjoyed and learned a lot in that exercise. We watched it in Racine
Wisconsin. Our connection was wireless broadband, yet the reception was of
extremely good quality. Unfortunately we were able watch only today's
presentation. But do plan to watch all the future presentations.
I watched the last three
days of broadcast from from my home in Brookfield, WI. I am one of
the person who got a call from a friend who has been a
part of the mission for several years. I was grateful to be able
to listen to Swamiji from my own residence (it is so cold out side.)
I was fortunate to attend his discourse one time before at our
temple...Hindu Temple of Wisconsin. For me, it is more practical to
attend the web broadcast where I will not miss a day. Thanks for
putting so much efforts into this program.
Day
5
Dear Organizers,
Hari Om, I am very thankful to
have had a chance to see the webcasts of Pujya Swamiji Ishwarananda , talks
were excellent as usual. One suggestion: could we please have these talks
transmitted on a weekly basis, I think many people around the world
would enjoy this.
Both
picture and audio were very clear both yesterday and today (we came to know
about the webcast only yesterday). We all were glued to the computer screen
and were mesmerized by Swamiji's talk. Thank you for creating this wonderful
opportunity for those who cannot be physically present during the lecture.
We hope that you will continue to webcast future programs at Mithila and
inform us.
Thank you for the live
broadcast. We have been enjoying it for the past two days here in
Chicago area. The reception and sound are very good. Please
put us on your email list for future broadcasts.
Thanks
for the wonderful webcast I was able to see from San Marcos, Texas. No
technical problems at all, specially with Media Player Version 10.
Thanks
for the wonderful opportunity to hear Swamiji live.
At our location - greater Vancouver area (Canada), 3 people took advantage
of the broadcasts, starting day 1.
Please add me to the mailing list for your next broadcast
Web
Satsang with Pujya Swamiji is Very Inspiring. The Webcast and Video Quality
was great.
We had the wonderful opportunity to be able to listen and view for all the 3
days.
Thank you very much for the great work. Please include us in the webcast
mailing list.
Hari
Om. Many thanks for all the hard work involved in creating this
spectacular on-line live webcast. Do notify me of any future webcasts.
I
thank you very much for the web cast.
I thoroughly enjoy Swamiji's enlightening discourses on Geeta. It will also
help to archive these for the benefit of those who may not be able to attend
the live discourse due to their geographical location and work schedules.
Yes, I will be glad to spread this great news to other groups. Hope to learn
more online via web cast. Thanx and Greetings to Swamiji,
Day
4
We received the email late
and missed couple of sessions. It was truly a wonderful experience. Two
people watched it at our home. We have spread the
word and it would be nice
to have the Webcast on a regular basis. If the webcast could be repeated
during the day more people would be able to view
it. The quality of the
picture was amazing. Keep up the good work. Thanks.
I
watched Swamiji yesterday. It started at 10:30PM EST, right? It was
beautiful! I enjoyed it very much.
Thanks
a lot for this webcast. It is a divine treat to be able to see and hear
Swamiji from home. Usually it is a challenge for me to go anywhere to attend
lectures without causing inconvenience to my family members; hence I truly
value these webcasts as "God's unconditional grace on me". I
will spread the word about this to others. Only I watched it at my
home.
1. Picture and Sound
quality is just awesome. I had it on full screen and my husband who normally
doesn't like to attend classes also peeped in and lingered there for few
minutes because of the amazing picture quality.
2. Please take more close up
shots of Prabhu Ramchandraji, Mata Sitaji, Sri Hanumanji and Laxmanji. It
feels so nice when Swamiji prays to each and everyone says "Tathastu".
3. It will be nice if we can
hear Swamiji chanting while He does Puja. We can't hear it clearly because I
think microphone is away from Him. Audio is clear only after Swamiji sits on
dais.
4.Please take "front close
up view" of Swamiji rather than taking His side view. That will
make us feel like we are right there in front of Him attending. It is better
to see less things around him once the lecture starts. (The green plant
looks great behind Him adding contrast and making Swamiji stand out.)
5. Once Swamiji starts lecture
please don't move camera. There is a deep concentration while listening to
lecture and a link gets established between Swamiji and us. One then forgets
that it is a "webcast". In such a state when suddenly camera
moves it is very distracting. Please leave it alone once lecture starts.
Right or wrong angle doesn't matter.
6. (Optional) When Swamiji
reads shloka or mantra it will be nice if you can show it on half
bottom screen so we can read with it. (However do it only if you can do it
without moving or disturbing camera.)
7. Please have these webcasts
like a regular class on "on going" basis and not just 5 day
yajna. Please continue this.
8. Sessions can be separated for
"advanced seekers" and "new comers" so Swamiji will
be able to deliver His best to each audience appropriately and effectively.
A lot of hard work,
co-ordination and thought must have gone into this project. I sincerely
thank the team who worked so hard on this and is working on this. THANKS
AGAIN ! THANKS A LOT ! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK !
This is phenomenal. Although I
couldn't watch the entire lecture as I was busy with my son's homework and
getting dinner ready whatever I could see
was unbelievable. If it
can be webcast at a different time also during the day when the kids are
away at school and we have two hours to see and hear
the lecture uninterrupted that
would be nice.
Received the email rather late,
missed two sessions. Awesome, the picture and sound are so clear.
Please keep me informed. This is a great opportunity for all of us.
Simply
Amazing. The audio and Video quality of Swamiji's lecture was excellent. I feel
blessed to hear Swamiji's lecture.
The only regret is we were informed late. Thanks for the webcast. Can I access
Swamiji's earlier lectures through archived webcast
Thanks
very much for the wonderful Satsang with Pujya Swamiji - we have thoroughly
enjoyed the last 3 days' classes.
The quality of the webcast (audio & video) is excellent.
We would like to know more details on the webcast setup/software/service, so we
could mimic and try to bring more and more satsang opportunities to people in
this area as well. Kindly do let us know who we could get in touch with. Thanks
very much once again.
Day
3
Thank
you for the webcast, it was great to see you and listen to you live. But
it says “for limited time” – why is that, I wonder. I have a
suggestion – may be we can make a login screen to get to the webcast, that
way you will know who is watching (how many people login etc). and it can be
used for future marketing.
Amazing
work! I never thought I would be able to watch a live Gita broadcast. Truly
awesome!! Its a shame I just found out about this today...had I known earlier, I
would have followed from the first day...we are 3 hours ahead, but I had to stay
up for this! And its totally worth it!
Picture quality is not bad at all...sound quality is very clear. You don't
really need to see the videos...just close your eyes and you are there...amazing
work...keep this going...
Great job. Keep it up!
Hari
Om! I really enjoyed the weblink, I would appreciate if you can email to be
future webcasts.
Wonderful
lecture tonight again with the intro to Bhagvad Geeta. We are savoring
the nightly lectures as a wonderful way to end the day, and begin a new one.
Hope this continues.
Two
points as a matter of feedback. 1) is it possible to position the
camera so that we can see Swamiji face forward, rather than a side view? 2)
Will these lectures be archived for those in the UK, for instance who can
watch these post-airings?
The
webcast was outstanding. Enjoyed the characteristic richness and humor
of Swamiji’s lecture supported by the great quality of the audio and
video. Good Job Raj! Thanks for making this available to everyone.
I logged on from Bombay, India
and had no trouble at all with the live stream. In fact the audio and video
were clear throughout. It was a real treat to be listening to Swamiji as if
he were right here in our center, instead of 10,000 miles away! Hope the
webcast continues after these sessions. Please do keep me on your regular
mailing list.
Everything
was superb - am glad to hear there are plans to continue past the test
period!
--with
much appreciation, to Swamiji and all who bring this to us,
A
small suggestion - keeping the plant right behind Swamiji distracts and
fights for focus in the camera. Something which does not have
different small patterns would be a better choice
Very
good experience- both technological and spiritual!
Can
we have this webcast on a regular basis because its a great privilege to
listen to Swamiji's talks, and not all of us have the opportunity to attend
his lectures in person. We had two people watching at our house, and we'll
definitely pass this information to all who are interested.
That was awesome. I watched
the program yesterday. For me the audio-visual reception was good. Please
include me in your web cast mailing list.
Absolutely
wonderful to see Swamiji live , especially when I thought I'd be missing
the Jan. classes. Thanks to the entire team for the successful launch of
this venture.
I
have been listening to the broadcast for the last 2 sessions.
The audio and video quality is excellent. I had no problems and it was
almost like being in the room with Swamiji. Thank you for providing
this opportunity and looking forward to future interesting sessions.
--The
webcasts are just so good, --wanted to add a couple of thoughts.
--Raj
spoke of improving ambiance and some other cosmetic things, and
would just like to say, --we viewers should not let ourselves get
distracted by whether or not we like the scene this way or that.
If we can hear what Swamiji is teaching us and if we can focus our
own attention --that's what we should do. It would really be sad
for the hard working staff to wear themselves out or become
discouraged. Simple is fine. --besides which everything is
beautiful the way it is.
--Also,
(everyone's familiar with that saying "no good deed goes
unpunished") --not to create too much more work, but am
wondering if it would be a simple matter to make the webcasts
downloadable from the website? --In this way, --so many more
people may have the opportunity to benefit. These could be
attached and emailed (if not overly large) I myself just
got an ipod and this is exactly the kind of program that should be
on it. --Especially useful, as the Gita, with it's beautiful,
practical lessons for everyday life, are taught to us.
Day
2
Yesterday,
we connected to the webcast. We had a good quality video and audio
reception. Of course, Swamiji's teaching was excellent. Thank you to
all for organizing and putting the live webcast. We will continue to
connect.
At my home, two of us watched.
I have e-mailed this link to Chinmaya Ottawa list. Please provide me
your schedule of web-events so that I can communicate to others. Thank you
again and Namaskar.
I
have listened to two evenings of Swamiji's lectures now and have had a mixed
experience of both joy and great frustration!
Yesterday (Monday) was absolutely divine. I was able to wholeheartedly and
one-pointedly concentrate on Swamiji's words and enjoyed every moment. The
picture and sound quality were amazing, just perfect, with little interruption
throughout the hour. His talk spellbound me and made me only pine for the
next day when I would hear his words.
Today was quite frustrating! There were so many interruptions (Buffering
and reconnects) that I could hear but at most every couple of sentences.
What I heard only made me more frustrated as it always broke my concentration
and left me wondering what Swamiji was saying. By the time the connection
got re-established, Swamiji had already moved on to a different thought! I
wonder if others have had similar experience. I can only suppose that the
first evening was so fully enthralling that everyone went out to tell their
friends, with the result that there were too many listeners tonight (Tuesday)
and the server could not support all of us. In any case, with the taste
still on my tongue of the first night's joy, I will most assuredly tune in
tomorrow night to hear Swamiji speak again if only to catch but a few sentences
here and there.
In the final analysis, I am encouraged that Swamiji has taken this step to reach
out to the common people and bathe us in his wisdom. Rest assured that I
will take every advantage of the opportunity so long as Swamiji blesses us with
his words.
Had the utmost pleasure of listening
to Swamiji this evening. Though I am a morning Vedanta student, had not
been able to attend today and this Web broadcast helped me not miss
today's class. The picture and sound both were very clear, had some
difficulty at minute 43rd or so with sound but it did come back. I did use
wireless internet connection, it seemed to work fine. I thank you all very
much.
The webcast is very good and I
would like to point out my observation from today's session.
1. The volume of the music was
louder during Raj Mantha's speech.
2. Audience were moving in
front of the camera (I am not sure if this can be minimized)
3. Sound was interrupted for
one minute (at 43 min) and resumed but was very feeble for the next five
min. Maybe the microphone moved or something. Maybe we can rectify it if we
can notify someone in such situations.
Webcast is truly a welcoming
and very innovative idea to spread the knowledge of Vedas...Swamiji.. You're
fulfilling Chinmayaji's dream..
I saw the webcast today for
the first time. It was good, but the video was frozen for most of the
lecture. The picture quality was not so good, it was quite dark, perhaps
it could be made a little more lighter. The webcast disconnected twice in
the hour but I am not sure if it was my computer. Sound quality was good
although the volume fluctuated.
Anyway, I would like to know
about future webcasts.
I had the fortune to attend
Swamiji's talk tonight. It is a real technological marvel that made it
possible. Being so far, I have not been able to attend for various reasons and
this makes it feasible for me and others like me. Thank you so much for
this opportunity and I look forward to the remainder of this test session. I
also hope that this will become a regular process.
I watched the webcast
yesterday from Sydney, Australia and found it very informative. The
quality of picture and sound were of good quality. I thought that the
lecture will be available for 7 days, but cant get access to it today.
Please inform me when I will be able to access again.
--This Webcast --just
like the first, --was so beautiful. -How wonderful to make this
available to all of us who can not attend in person. Everything was
perfect.
--I see the
feedback questions: video and audio quality were very good, --I had
just a few minutes, (about 45 minutes into it) where the audio became
quiet, but that passed and returned to excellent quality. (could be my
equipment). I am looking forward to hearing Bhagwad Geeta, a
favorite. Would like to hear Kathopanishad -but maybe you've done
that recently. --Am sure anything picked will be good! Only one viewer
here. --Is there capacity for more viewers at other locations (i.e.
additional lines?) --I would love to let others know to tune in!
Thanks to all there
who are making this happen!
The reception is very
good. On the audio there was a point where the volume dropped.
This was only perhaps for 5 minutes or so. But after that it came
back to normal. It would be nice if the volume were set a little
higher. I had to set my laptop on the highest volume to hear
normal.
We were able to
watch Your program on line last night. We were able to get it
with no problem for the whole hr. However there was some ...
booooo
sound in the back
ground, feel this is from the sound system used for
telecasting. We will try to see if that can be adjusted
from our end on
our system. I
shared this with You to give the clear picture, Please note
the sound did not interrupt the speech in any manner.
Four of us were
able to watch your Tuesday night lecture at Mithila. The
reception was very good even in Pune. Telecasting
lectures/programs on a regular basis from Mithila would be a
great idea.
Thank you
very much for the live webcast of Swamiji's talks. This is
an excellent opportunity for people who live far away to
listen to Swamiji.
I hope you
can continue to telecast his talks in the future. The
quality of the audio and video was very good.
(occasionally the sound volume went down but came back to
normal within 5 minutes).
Tried
the live broadcast last night…I logged in from
7:30pm-8:30pm, both the video and audio quality was great!
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to listen to
Swamiji’s lecture! I was the only one watching! I will
forward the information regarding this to others. One
other question if we miss to log in at the particular
timing (7:00-8:30pm) is it possible to log in later and
hear the lecture for that day or previous day’s (or this
is not possible other times?).
Day
1
I
listened to the webcast yesterday and it was wonderful.
Of course nothing can beat being there and learning at our
guru's feet, but it was almost like being there in person.
But otherwise I might have missed this week's lectures
completely, so I am very grateful for the opportunity.
It
was very good. Enjoyed it. Both the video and audio were
clear, even when magnified. Keep it going. Why the limited
offer for 6 days?
I
listened to your Kenopanishad satsang this pm.
After hearing and reading the Yaksha story before I
understood the significance of that story for the
first time today. Unfortunately it kept buffering
every 20 secs. or so and probably disconnected about
five times during the hour. If I closed Media
Player and started all over it would be goo
for
about 30 secs. and would be inconsistent again.
We have wireless - don't know if it was our
connection?! It was a test of my shraddha!
Hari
Om, The web cast was very good May Sri Ram bless you
I
feel I am truly blessed to be able to listen to your
lecture via LIVE telecast. It was awesome! I had a very
clear view and sound starting from Raj Mantha's
introduction to the end. Thank u all for giving me an
opportunity to continue to attend the Vedanta series. This
is definitely another feather added to Chinmaya Mission's
hat!
--Just
a quick message of thanks --the webcast this evening
was really wonderful --so beautiful, clear, and
perfect --both the technical/videography end and of
course the Vedanta that Swamiji gives us.
Today's
live Vedanta was perfect in all aspects. 3 photos I took
to illustrate the power this live series had on young
minds (See attachment). The quality was excellent.
I
JUST SAW THE WEB CAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! .
It was AWESOME.
I am going to watch everyday for the rest of the week
Feed Back: Sound was good. Picture was good: some
ping flashes and occasional picture distortion. Good
ambiance
I felt almost like I was there. Works well for me because
I have a long drive from work. I have been missing the
classes and have really ruled the fact that I did not
start the course.
Tonight
was my first visit to Swamiji's pravachan on the
Webcast. The video quality, sound everything
was very good. Occasionally the images froze
but the sound continued. This did not impact
the essence of the talks in any way – just a
comment for the sake of technical feedback. Webcasts
are an excellent media to continue our Vedanta
studies across borders. Look forward to the
whole lecture series.
It
is fantastic. Congratulations for making it
happen.
Just a couple of suggestions:
1. You may use a mike for the audience, only
when they chant, so we could hear it better.
2. You may want to try a darker background so the
audio is clearer.
But overall, it was great.
Thank
you for letting us know about the live
broadcast! It was a most welcome and
pleasant surprise!
Here
are some of my observation on the quality of
the broadcast:
1.
The video was static or moved very
slowly in a staccato manner - I am not
sure if it was a problem with aol's media
player. Tomorrow I plan to watch via
Windows media player to see if there is an
improvement.
2.
Sometimes the item being focused for broadcast
was not centered - for example, during the
introduction and during the Aarthi the camera could
have been centered on the deities so that
Hanumanji could be clearly seen - instead the sunflower
like artifact above Ram Parivar was more
clearly seen.
Although
the video was static or moved in a staccato
manner, Swamiji's words came through clearly -
I would say 99% of the time. There were
minor issues with the audio but that did not
detract from the message.
Thank
you once again for the broadcast!
We
Saw & Listened Swamiji today evening!! We
will do the same every evening. Relay is
nice & clear!
Hari
Om. It was great to see you 'live' on air. Enjoyed
the lecture on Kenopanishad. Thanks a lot for
forwarding this information.
It was nice to hear your lecture on Kenopanishad.
Thanks for sending me the online webcast.
It was a very pleasant surprise.
Thank
you, it was indeed a great feeling to watch the on-line
video. Both sound and picture quality is really good.
Congratulations
Swamiji on the first successful webcast. WOW!!!!!!
Modern technology in its best application - bringing the
age old wisdom into the comfort of your own home-in audio
and video!!! AWESOME!
