Troubleshooting

General

If you are having computer problems watching the live webcast, please download and reinstall windows media player as in 1 below. This may resolve most of the problems. You may follow the rest of the pointers below if you still have problems.

1.   You will need Windows Media player - CLICK HERE to download the latest media player

2.   DO NOT USE other players such as AOL media player, Winamp, Quicktime, Realplayer etc.

3.   The broadcast is designed to work with Windows media player.

4.   Wireless connection may not be good for receiving LIVE broadcast. Use wired connection.

5.   If problems persist, please re-download and load Windows Media Player. Use the link above.

6.   If you cannot hear audio, please check your audio connections.

7.   Have patience; session start takes some time, as there are many people requesting the service at the same time.

8.   We suggest join the session when we go live which is at least 10 minutes before the scheduled time.

9.    Newer computers with good computer memory and video memory will help.

10.  Do not run any other programs during the session if possible.

11.  If the picture freezes, it is your local broadband connection problem, as our transmission is being watched by many successfully. If there is a problem on our side, we will acknowledge it in an email following the session.

12.  If you still face problems, please send us your email and phone number. We may be able to help. 

Receiving Notifications:

  1. As a part of your registration process we have also requested you to register with Yahoo Groups "Chinmayachannel".

  2. All our notifications are only through yahoo groups and with the registered viewers on yahoo groups. 

  3. If you have registered on this site and not on Yahoo Groups, we request you to do so to receive email notifications from us.

 Media Player Adjustments:

  1. We will be broadcasting at 640x480 size window.
  2. You may be able to change this size by changing the frame size around. To do this place your cursor on the diagonal corner of the frame. It will change the shape of the cursor to a double arrow. Press the left mouse button and drag the cursor to change the size of window.
  3. If the above is not working, right mouse click on the player window.
  4. Select full screen. Say ok and you will see the picture fully expanding to cover the display screen.
  5. We suggest using MS Internet explorer 6 or 7.
  6. You may want to download the latest windows player from Microsoft site. The link is in computer trouble shooting area of the website.
  7. Please note that phone number listed on the website will not be operational from 7:00 PM until 8:45 PM on the days of broadcast.
